While the Boston Celtics may not be doing as well as they have been for much of the 2023-24 NBA season with recent losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets, they still have by far the best record in the NBA. And Celtics star center Kristaps Porzingis has played no small role in Boston’s success this season.
The Latvian big man gives the Celtics post-up and long-range shooting abilities that they didn’t really have on their roster before, making breaking down zone defenses a relatively easy affair and KP a nightmare to keep for small players. And standing over 7 feet tall, almost all but a handful of players in the league are smaller players than Porzingis.
On a recent episode of WEEI’s “Gresh and Fauria,” the hosts teamed up with NBAer Danny Green, and the crew discussed KP’s importance to the Celtics’ title hopes this season.
