SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox teamed up with Kaiser Permanente and appeared at the Junior Kings basketball clinic Friday featuring boys and girls from Roberts Family Development and from The GreenHouse.

The camp used basketball as a tool to encourage healthy habits, mental resilience and a Q&A with Fox and team physicians Dr. Marty Reed and Dr. John Greenfield of Kaiser to educate the children about the importance of stretching and injury prevention. .

The basketball clinic was held at the Kings’ former practice facility on the grounds of ARCO Arena in Natomas. The facility is now used as a practice location for the Stockton Kings, Sacramento’s G League affiliate.

Fox, 26, is in the midst of his seventh NBA season in Sacramento and has hosted several Junior Kings clinics during his career. He will even host his own youth basketball camp in Rocklin in June.
