The Chicago Bulls traveled to Texas to take on the Houston Rockets on Thursday night. After a rocky start to the game, the Rockets took the lead and after leading by double digits in the first half, Houston never looked back. The Bulls were now behind despite several comeback attempts.

However, the real story of this game happened in the third quarter. As Jalen Green dribbled the ball down the court and went around a screen, DeMar DeRozan came up to guard him and hip-slapped him into the ground. The play followed a green block on DeRozan. The Bulls star and Dillon Brooks then got in an altercation. DeRozan was ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul, and Brooks was also ejected.

After the game, DeRozan had a chance to talk about the play for the first time, although the foul wasn’t his biggest regret. (H/t ESPN)

“Just not being there and giving us every chance to go out and win a game, that’s what frustrates me the most, more than anything,” DeRozan said. “Not being out there with my guys, seeing what the outcome could have been.”

Chicago lost to Houston by a final score of 127-117.
