The WNBA is finally starting to gain recognition, thanks in large part to the popularity of the latest draft, highlighted by the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark and the Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese.
Clark has contributed in every area of her rookie career, while Reese has stood out in one area in particular. Rebounding is clearly the Sky forward’s specialty, as she recently broke the WNBA record for most double-doubles in a season.
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade quickly took to social media to congratulate Reese on the achievement.
“History in the making [star emoji]”, Wade wrote.

She surpassed center Tina Charles’ record of 22 double-doubles with her 23rd against Clark and the Fever. Wade praised Reese, which drew some hate on social media for ignoring Clark’s impressive performance. She recorded the first WNBA game with at least 30 points and 12 assists on August 30.
Reese also broke the record for most rebounds in a single year with 405, passing Sylvia Fowles just days ago. The race for Rookie of the Year may be the tightest it’s ever been, but most are starting to side with Clark for his offensive prowess.
