This also means that DiVincenzo, who carries out his profession with the New York Knicks, gets valuable insight into these two generational superstars. In fact, the former NBA champion revealed a major similarity between Antetokounmpo and Curry.

Speaking on a recent episode of Roommates Podcasting with Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, DiVincenzo acknowledged the fact that in terms of playing style, Giannis and Steph couldn’t be any different. At the same time, however, these two former MVPs have one unifying characteristic, one that allows them to rise above the rest of the pack:
“Steph and Giannis obviously have a lot of differences in how they play the game, but the similarity is in how they approach each day and how they I want to be the best in the NBA and how they want to be the best person on your team,” said DiVincenzo (with Jack Winter of ClutchPoints). “The gap between him [Steph] and the next guy in terms of pure work is crazy and I was only there for 12 months. Giannis, I spent four years with him and every day he was in the gym, even on days when there are blackout days where no one is allowed in the gym, he is always there, so I think you know it’s an honor for them how much time and effort they put in and playing with them is so much fun. It’s like one of those things you can tell your kids after all the basketball is over.
It’s just great. We all know how much hard work Giannis and Curry put in on a daily basis, but this hits differently coming from a former teammate. DiVincenzo wouldn’t have become the player he is today without his own work ethic, but for him to have this level of amazement over Antetokounmpo and Steph’s commitment to their craft is nothing short of impressive.
