Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is still widely regarded as one of the best players in the NBA. While there is plenty of talent in the league, Curry has remained in that top tier since his rise to stardom.

Now 36, Curry proved at the 2024 Paris Olympics that he is still one of the best players in the world. Despite that, Curry still has detractors who try to put other players above him in certain discussions.

In a recent post on X, 2018 Warriors champion Nick Young sent a confusing message that seemed to suggest he thought Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was better than Curry.

Young’s wording was confusing, making his message a bit unclear, but the 12-year NBA veteran faced backlash from fans for his comments:

This isn’t the first time Young has upset his fans with a bizarre statement. If he does indeed claim that Irving is better than Curry, Young will be hard-pressed to find many people who agree with him.

While Irving is a fantastic player, he is below Curry, now and in all times. Playing alongside Luka Doncic, Irving is the second option in Dallas while Curry is the best option in Golden State.

While he’s a great second option, Irving doesn’t have the responsibility that Curry does as his team’s undisputed best player.
