Five-time All-Star John Wall has not played in an NBA game since being traded to the LA Clippers in 2023. Sent back to the Houston Rockets where he spent one season before joining the Clippers, Wall was released and never picked up.
In 34 games with the Clippers (including three as a starter), Wall averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 assists in 22.2 minutes per game. An abdominal injury sidelined him in January of this season, and he did not play in an NBA game after that.
In his last NBA appearance, Wall finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists against the Denver Nuggets.

Still an NBA free agent, Wall hopes to make a comeback.
On an episode of Paul George’s P podcast earlier this summer, Wall said, “I’m willing to take any role on a team. Whether it’s playing, not playing, being in the role of Udonis Haslem. All that kind of stuff, I just want to wear an NBA jersey again, because I know how much the game means to me, how much more I have to do. If that’s helping a team play, if that’s helping a team by being a coach or a mentor, I’m willing to take that.”

Wall continues to train in hopes that an NBA opportunity will present itself. The 13-year NBA veteran was recently in attendance at one of Rico Hines’ offseason runs at UCLA (via bellikemike on Instagram):
Wall’s best years came with the Washington Wizards, where he made five All-Star teams and one All-NBA team.
Expressing his willingness to accept any role that would allow him to return to the NBA, Wall is hoping for another opportunity.
