The Boston Celtics are playing a different ball game this season. They recently hosted the Golden State Warriors, with fans anticipating a possible Stephen Curry buyout. However, it appears the C’s were on a redemption mission for the 2022 final. The match turned out to be one of the most lopsided wins of the year, and perhaps the worst score differential in history of the Warriors. With that, Steve Kerr kept Steph, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green out of the action for much of the game.

When asked about the game’s huge 52-point loss 140-88, Kerr claimed he decided to rest his superstars somewhere at the end of the first quarter or during the second. Regardless of the blowout, he reassured the Warriors had nothing to fear, saying the game was a “Throw it down the toilet,” scenario – meaning to be a one-off thing.
