Jordan Hamilton was selected 26th overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA draft. Traded to the Denver Nuggets on draft night, Hamilton spent the first three seasons of his NBA career in Denver.
Hamilton played in 105 games with the Nuggets, averaging 5.6 points in 12.6 minutes per game. Hamilton made the playoffs with the Nuggets in 2012 and 2013, when they were eliminated in the first round both years.
After spending five seasons in the NBA, Hamilton spent time with the Nuggets, Houston Rockets, LA Clippers and New Orleans Pelicans.
Aged just 33, Hamilton has reportedly signed a contract in Taiwan with the Taipei Fubon Braves (via Eurobasket NewsHi HoopsHype).
“Taipei Fubon Braves (PLeague+) have strengthened their roster with the addition of 33-year-old American forward Jordan Hamilton (University: Texas) for the 2024-25 season,” Eurobasket News reported. “He recently played for Cocodrilos in the Venezuelan SPB League. In 7 recent games he played, he recorded 13.4 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists per game and 1.1 points per game last season. Last season, he played for Watts (B2 League) in the Japanese league.”
Hamilton’s last NBA appearance came in the 2015-16 season with the New Orleans Pelicans. The 6-foot-1 forward’s longest NBA stint came in Denver, where he logged 1,325 total minutes over three seasons.
