Another member from last year Utah Jazz roster has found a new team for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.

According to insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, Talen Horton-Tucker has agreed to a partially guaranteed contract with the The Chicago Bulls for the 2024-25 NBA season. Horton-Tucker spent the last two seasons in Utah after being part of a trade with the The Los Angeles Lakers to bring it back to town in 2022.

In his 116 games with the Jazz, Horton-Tucker averaged 10.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists on 40.9 percent shooting and 33 percent from three-point range. The Iowa State product also started 31 games during his time in Salt Lake City.

Heading into next season, the Jazz have accumulated several strong candidates to hold down their backcourt, with names like second-year point guard Keyonte George, veterans Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson, and rookies Isaiah Collier and Cody Williams leading the way. As a result, Horton-Tucker’s chances of getting PT next year are diminishing and have led to his signing elsewhere.

Horton-Tucker will now return to his hometown of Chicago on a team with names like Zach LaVine, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmo and Josh Giddey, with a chance to make an impact as a rotation player. This will be the third team of his NBA career, and at just 23 years old, he still has the potential to bring what he can to the table in the future.
