In preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 BKT EuroCup season, KK Buducnost Voli have made another adjustment to their squad by bringing in physically dominant 24-year-old pivot Udoka Azubuike.
After a season in the NBA with the Phoenix SunsHe spent three campaigns from 2020 to 2023 with the Utah Jazzwho selected him with the 27th overall pick in the NBA draft. During the 2021-22 season, he also spent time in the G-League with the Salt Lake City Stars.
Before joining the league, the Nigerian-born rim protector spent four years (2016-20) in the NCAA with the Kansas Jayhawks. In 2019, his defensive abilities were rewarded as Udoka Azubuike was named the NABC Defensive Player of the Year.
He averaged a double-double of 13.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in his final NCAA season, 2019-20.
