THE Golden State Warriors may have failed in their quest for Paul George And Lauri MarkkanenBut that doesn’t mean they won’t be players on the trade market. Mike Dunleavy Jr. has a plethora of tradeable assets at his disposal. However, he’s unlikely to start making trades unless they’re guaranteed to help improve the roster.

While the movements for LeBron James Or Kawhi Leonard Dream scenarios are unlikely to come true. Instead, the Warriors could look to more realistic targets to improve their roster heading into the new season. According to Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz, one player who could improve the Warriors’ rotation is former Sixth Man of the Year, Malcolm Brogdon.

“If trades for All-Star forwards fall through and the Warriors need to explore more realistic targets, Brogdon should be very available from the lowest level. The Wizards“, Swartz wrote. “The Warriors don’t have a true backup point guard after waiving Chris Pauland Brogdon averaged 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and shot 41.2 percent from three-point range last season.

Brogdon, 31, spent last season with the Portland Trail Blazerswhere he struggled to regain fitness, playing just 39 games. Brogdon has struggled with injuries for most of his career, so the Warriors would likely approach trade talks with caution.

Still, the Washington Wizards would likely be willing to trade the veteran guard if it meant they could continue to accumulate assets for the future to help them in their rebuild. Whether the Warriors would be willing to trade for Brogdon given his injury concerns remains to be seen.
