The Magic improved to 2-0 Tuesday in their record eight home games with a 112-92 win over the Charlotte Frelons. They led by as many as 41 points in the contest and shot 54.3 percent from the field, the 24th time they have shot 50 percent or better this season (23-1).

Cole Anthony led the way with 21 points and six rebounds off the bench, and Jalen Suggs added 16 points, six assists and four rebounds as fifth-place Magic clinched at least a berth in the play-in tournament with this victory.

The Pelicans defeated the Brooklyn nets 104-91 Tuesday for their 22nd road victory, the third in the NBA. Zion Williamson produced a game-high 28 points, CJ McCollum 16 points and Larry Nance Jr. added 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

New Orleans improved to 7-1 (.875) in March with the win, the second-best winning percentage in the league. The team is second in defensive rating (105.3), second in net rating (plus-13.8) and fourth in offensive rating (119.1) on the month.

The Pelicans and Magic will meet for the first time this season on Thursday. The Magic have won three in a row and 13 of the last 17 meetings in the series.
