Thursday, the Dallas Mavericks (34-28) welcome the Miami heat (35-26), and if you’re wondering how to follow the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Mavericks will look to get back on track after suffering their fifth loss in six games on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers. After trailing by just four points at halftime, the Mavericks cooled down and were outscored 32-18 in the third quarter and were eliminated.
Luka Doncic produced a game-high 39 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to pace the Mavericks. He recorded his fourth consecutive 30-point triple-double to become the third player to achieve the feat, and the first since Russell Westbrook during the 2016-17 season.
Meanwhile, the Heat improved to 5-1 after the All-Star break after beating the Detroit Pistons Tuesday. They are tied for third most wins in the league and are ninth in offense and 11th in defense over that span to remain in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
Jimmy Butler had a game-high 26 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals to lead the Heat, who won their fourth straight game against the Pistons. Butler has now recorded at least one steal and 3-pointer in 14 straight games, the second-longest streak in franchise history.
The Heat and Mavericks will meet for the first time this season on Thursday. The two teams split the season series last year, 1-1, although the Heat won nine of the last 12 games in Dallas.
