1st quarter report
The Warriors fell to the Celtics last Sunday, but the memory of that tough defeat doesn’t seem to have tripped them up today. Sitting at 40-32, the Warriors appear to be the better team, but there are still three quarters to play.
The Warriors came into the game with extra motivation after the loss they suffered the last time these two teams met. We’ll see if they are able to flip the script or if it will just be more of the same.

What there is to know
After four games on the road, the Warriors return home. They will face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET.
It’s hard to win when you don’t work as a team and post 11 fewer assists than your opponent, a fact the Warriors found out the hard way on Sunday. There’s no need to mince words: Golden State lost to the Celtics and the Warriors lost badly. The score ended at 140-88. The result shouldn’t be surprising considering it’s the fewest points the Warriors have scored all season.
Meanwhile, the Bucks entered their Monday game with five straight wins, but they came away with six. They came away with a 113-106 victory over Los Angeles. 113 seems to be a good number for the Bucks since the team won by the same number of points in their previous match.
The Bucks relied on the efforts of Bobby Portis, author of a double-double with 28 points and 16 rebounds, and Damian Lillard, author of 41 points. Lillard didn’t help the Bucks’ cause much against the Bulls on Friday, but the same can’t be said for this contest.
Golden State’s loss ended an eight-game road winning streak and dropped them to 32-28. As for Milwaukee, they have performed well recently as they have won eight of their last ten games, which was a nice improvement from their 41-21 record this season.
A high-performance offense is likely on the agenda, as both teams are among the highest-scoring teams in the league. The Warriors have had no problem running up the score this season, averaging 118.6 points per game. However, it’s not like the Bucks (currently ranked second in scoring) are struggling in this department as they are averaging 121.4 points per game. With both teams so easily able to rack up points, the only question that remains is who can run up the score.
Looking ahead, the Warriors are the favorites in this one, as experts expect to see them win by 4.5 points. They might be worth a quick bet since they’re sitting on a three-game covering streak when they expect to win.
