The Golden State Warriors had a tough offseason this summer. They signed solid players like Kyle Anderson, De’Anthony MeltonAnd Buddy Hield. However, none of these additions will compensate for the loss of the Warriors legend. Klay ThompsonWHO joined the Dallas Mavericks this offseason. Additionally, the Warriors have moved on from the point guard position Chris Paul and a great man Dario SaricSince winning a championship in 2022, things have been bad for the Warriors. However, it is clear that they are still interested in competing for a championship as long as Stephen Curry is on the team. And even if he’s not Thompson, the Warriors are reportedly interested in a former first-round pick to round out the mix. According to his agent, 2014 first-round pick Daniel Hazan Bruno Caboclo works with the Warriors. Hazan said Caboclo was hoping for an NBA contract and believed it would happen.
“He’s training with Golden State through Thursday with the intention of getting a contract. And he thinks he’s going to get it,” Hazan told Israeli Sports Channel:.
However, Hazan also mentioned that the Brazil native had received an offer from Hapoel Tel Aviv and that “it’s an option on the table.”
“At the same time, he is in talks with Hapoel Tel Aviv,” he added, confirming an offer presented by the Israeli club. “We are moving forward on an agreement with Ofer Yannai (the owner). It is an option on the table, for sure.”
Most recently, Caboclo played for Team Brazil at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With Brazil, he averaged 17.8 points on 69% from the field and 57.1% from three-point range. In addition, he averaged 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.

Bruno Caboclo NBA Career So Far
Cabocolo joined the NBA after being selected 20th overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2014. At the time, Caboclo’s selection seemed like a stretch. However, at the time, Cabocolo had tremendous potential. But it never came to fruition for Toronto. Caboclo played parts of four seasons with the Raptors, appearing in 35 games and averaging 1.5 points and 1 rebound.
During the 2017–18 season, the Raptors traded Caboclo to the Sacramento Kings. He took on a slightly larger role, but Caboclo still averaged just 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10 games. Caboclo joined the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2018–19 season, where he played his biggest role yet. He played 34 games for the team, including 19 as a starter. Over the course of the year, he averaged 8.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1 block.
From 2019 to 2021, Cabocolo also spent time with the Houston Rockets. However, he only played in 14 games total for them.
What Bruno Caboclo could bring to the Warriors
The 28-year-old is very athletic and versatile. Although he stands at 6’1″, Caboclo is primarily a power forward/center. He may be small as a center, but with a 7’1″ wingspan, he can certainly hold his own. Additionally, he has improved as a perimeter scorer over the years.
For a team like the Warriors, it would be beneficial to add another big man like Caboclo. He would be far from a guarantee to be a part of the rotation. However, at this point in the offseason, signing him is a low-risk, high-reward move that the Warriors should consider making.
