With no recent trade news, the Hawks appear to have their roster set for the 2024-25 NBA season, barring a late-offseason trade, of course. The Hawks appear to be focused on filling out their training camp roster.
Billy Reinhardt has told us that the Hawks will be signing second-year forward Joey Hauser to an Exhibit 10 contract – a report later confirmed by Brad Rowland from the Locked on Hawks podcast.
Free agent forward Joey Hauser signs a one-year, Exhibit 10 contract with the Atlanta Hawks, sources say.

Hauser, the younger brother of Sam, who was recently signed to the Boston Celtics, joins the Hawks as the team looks to improve its shooting at all positions. Hauser spent the entire regular season in the G League on a two-way contract last season after arriving in the league in 2023. In 50 games with the Ontario Clippers, Hauser averaged 7.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists on 44% shooting from the field and 37% from three-point range.
With this Exhibit 10 contract, if Hauser makes the team out of training camp, it will either pay him the equivalent of a non-guaranteed minimum contract in 2024-25, or his contract can be unilaterally converted to a two-way contract (which would require waiving one of Seth Lundy, Keaton Wallace or Dominick Barlow).
Hauser is likely to be released before Opening Day, however. He could get a small bonus if he joins the College Park Skyhawks for a short period after that date.
