We spent a lot of time on the court, but we spent a lot of time off the court. That’s why I like going overseas. It gives you a little taste of what we do.”

This will be the Heat’s first camp in the Bahamas without the former captain. Udonis Haslem in a playing role. Haslem was among the Heat players who benefited from the Bahamas camps.

“I love the people. I love the culture, the food. Everyone is nice. The weather is great. There are a lot of Miami Heat fans,” he said, adding: “It’s like being home.”
