Miami Heat wing Josh Richardson will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing right shoulder surgery, the team announced.
Richardson dislocated his shoulder in February and missed the last eight games.
The 30-year-old averaged 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 43 games this season, while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and a career-high 94, 4% from the free throw line.
Richardson signed a two-year contract with the Heat last offseason, with a player option worth $3.1 million for the summer, according to Spotrac. He spent the first four seasons of his career in Miami and averaged 16.6 points during the 2018-19 season.
The Heat rank sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 35-26 record. They face the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
