Charlotte Hornets Rookie Tidjane Salaün was among a group of squad players who were recently photographed at the team’s training facility working out on the pitch.
Salaün averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals on 40.6% shooting in 54 games last season in all competitions with Cholet Basket in the LNB Elite League in France. He played the previous two campaigns with the Cholet Espoirs in the Under-21 League.
The sixth choice was also joined by LaMelo BallMoussa Diabate, Three men, Brandon Miller, Nick Richards, KJ Simpson And Nick Smith Jr. in training. Players were seen doing various drills before the start of training camp on October 1.
Salaun made his debut with the Hornets in the NBA Summer League, averaging nine points and seven rebounds on 42.3 percent shooting in three appearances. He recorded his best game on July 16 in a win over the Hornets. Denver Nuggets with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The 19-year-old established himself as a first-round pick with his ability to handle the ball in transition, drive and finish at the basket. He hits the glass on both ends of the floor with force and can also defend multiple positions with his 7-foot-2 wingspan.
Salaün joins a team led by Ball, Miles BridgesMiller, Grant Williams and Mark Williams, among others. The team will be led this season by first-year head coach Charles Lee.
