Who is Dave Bing, how did he end up on the The Boston Celtics? A native of Washington, D.C., Bing played college football for Syracuse University and was drafted with the second overall pick in the 1966 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. Bing began his NBA career playing in a city he would one day be elected mayor of as a Democratic Party candidate many years later.

The former Orangeman went on to play for his hometown Washington Bullets (now Wizards) for two seasons after his stint with the Pistons. But he ended his career at the Celtics, and in the clip below, he talks about how that happened.
