In an effort to end their road trip on a high note, the Milwaukee Bucks visited the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

However, it was anything but a solid performance for the Bucks, who were outright dominated by the Kings from start to finish. Milwaukee went no further than 2 in this game, while Sacramento moved up 37. In dominating fashion, the Kings rolled to a 129-94 victory, securing their first victory against the Bucks. since February 1, 2016, according to Stat Muse. This ended a 15-game losing streak against MIL.

It’s been that kind of road trip for the Bucks, who now return to Milwaukee with a 1-3 record in their last four games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo did everything in his power to keep Milwaukee in this game. He finished with 30 points on 58.8 percent shooting while grabbing 13 rebounds, but he received essentially no help from his teammates. After Antetokounmpo’s 30 points, Milwaukee’s next leading scorer had just 11 points. This simply cannot happen.

One of the main reasons for the lack of a score was Milwaukee’s horrendous outside shooting, which missed seven of its 39 attempts (17.9%). Malik Beasley was only 3 of 11, Pat Connaughton was only 1 of 7, and Damian Lillard was 1 of 6, because even the team’s best shooters couldn’t throw a rock into the ocean. Beasley’s 27.3 percent conversion rate from deep was the best on the entire team.

On the other hand, the Kings were on fire from downtown, sinking 18 of 40 from deep (45 percent). De’Aaron Fox was 4 of 5, Harrison Barnes 4 of 7, while Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk were 3 of 8. They simply torched the Bucks from the perimeter due to excellent shooting but also way too many defensive breakdowns from Milwaukee, who often left a King wide open.

There isn’t much positive to say about Milwaukee. Lillard finished with just 10 points in one of his least productive outings to date. Sacramento’s Monk scored 25, as many as the top four players on Milwaukee’s bench. Beasley’s poor shooting continued to haunt him as he only had 11 points on 13 shot attempts.

Perhaps the biggest bright spot was a dunk by Andre Jackson Jr. on a cleanup mission that even shocked players on the opposite sideline.

Fans are clamoring that Jackson see consistent minutes for months, and this output shows why that would be a good idea. Sacramento’s athleticism was off the charts compared to what the Bucks possess, and they used it to their advantage on both sides of the ball. Jackson, one of the best athletes on the roster, could have at least fought this to a few degree.

Now, after Milwaukee couldn’t score all night, everyone wants to know when Khris Middleton will return. back in the lineup. He was questionable against Sacramento before being excluded. He could be back for Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, which would obviously be a big boost. The Bucks desperately need to put this horrible road trip behind them and aim to improve.
