The Los Angeles Lakers will meet the Indiana Pacers at Crypto.com Arena for their first regular season game tomorrow. But this isn’t exactly their first meeting, as basketball fans will remember the epic finale of the first tournament of the season. The Purple & Gold beat Indiana much to everyone’s surprise and won the first ever IST trophy in NBA history. As the two teams meet on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET, the Lakers could be missing key players in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

After a dominant game against the 76ers on Friday, James mentioned his ongoing ankle issues in the postgame presser. And it’s the same problem that has him on the injury report for the Pacers clash. The latest update on Bron puts him on the “questionable” list.

AD is also listed on the injury report, except he is listed as “probable” with an Achilles injury. Davis was a big reason why Los Angeles won this season. He dominated the game with 41 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks as the Lakers took the victory. Barring injuries, Davis continued his impressive performance throughout the season.

Given that the Lakers are desperately trying to claim a spot in the play-ins and, best case scenario, punch a direct ticket to the playoffs, LeBron James had stressed that there was no room for error in the future. They rank sixth in the East with a 40-31 record.
