The NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans have signed former Iowa State guard Izaiah Brockington to a 10-day contract.

Brockington previously played for the Pelicans’ G-League affiliate, the
Birmingham Squadron.

There, the former Cyclone averaged 13.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in 40 games with the Squadron this season.

The contract begins on Monday March 4 and ends on Thursday March 14. It will allow Brockington to be eligible to play four games with the Pelicans.

During this period, the Pelicans will face the Raptors, 76ers, Hawks and Cavaliers (March 5 to 13).

He becomes the first player from the TJ Otzelberger (head coach) era to make the NBA.
