SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – The Kings are once again bringing in veteran free agents to work out with roster players in Sacramento before training camp opens Oct. 1.

According to sources, the 12-year NBA veteran forward Jae Crowder is the latest to schedule time in the capital for a few on-field workouts at the Kings’ practice facility inside the Golden 1 Center.

The 34-year-old forward played the last two seasons with the Milwaukee BucksHe played 50 games, including 25 as a starter, averaging 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 steals in 23.1 minutes per game.

Last month, the Kings held similar workouts with free agents. Isaiah Thomas, Lonnie Walker IV, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Tony Bradley.

Crowder has been known throughout his career as a reliable 3-and-D option from the wing, and his playoff experience, appearing twice in the NBA Finals, shows in 115 playoff games, starting 86 of those games.

A second-round pick by Cleveland In 2012, the 6-foot-2 Crowder made a name for himself as a quality defender who provided a physical presence on the court. He averaged 9.3 points (51 percent shooting, 35 percent from the perimeter), 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 interceptions per game.

Prior to his time in Milwaukee, Crowder made stops with the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz, The Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics And The Dallas Mavericks.
