Kessler (foot) finished with six points (3-9 FG), 11 rebounds, two assists and a block in 24 minutes in Saturday’s 142-121 loss to Denver.
Before missing the JazzIn the previous four games due to a sprained right foot, Kessler had come off the bench in each of his last three appearances, but he assumed a starting role on Saturday. He could be a candidate to come on the bench when the Jazz return Lauri Markkanen (quadriceps) and Taylor Hendricks (toe) to action, but for now, Kessler could be in reserve for boosted minutes in a depleted Jazz frontcourt.
