The cross-country cross-country runner of Roland Story, Kara Patterson and the Nevada soccer participant, Cedar Smith, have been elected the winners of the girl and the male athlete of the week Ames Tribune for the week from September 7 to 13.

Patterson received the ladies’s feminine athlete with 47% of the vote.

Patterson led the Cross-Nation crew of the ladies of Roland Story to the victory on the Greene County Invitational on September 11 in Spring Lake Park in Jefferson.

Patterson ranked second individually. She crossed the end line with a time of 5 kilometers of twenty-two minutes, 7.63 seconds.

Smith was elected male athlete of the week with 61% of the votes.

Smith was a defensive disruptive power to assist the 3A 6a 6 soccer crew from Nevada to maintain its Ballard rival out of the dashboard in a 14-0 victory in Cub at Huxley.

Smith ended the match with 3.5 plated for the loss and a bag by serving to the cubs to restrict the bombers to 160 yards in whole.
