While most of the attention around the San Antonio Spurs Next season will focus on how Victor Wembanyama presents himself in his sophomore season, with the product that will ultimately shine on the court being refined behind the scenes, notably by Gregg Popovich and Chris Paul.
The latter, in particular, raises a lot of questions. Given his experience, the point guard certainly has a lot to say about Wembanyama, but it remains to be seen how useful he will be. One NBA legend in particular, however, is convinced by this unique duo.

“Last year, he didn’t make easy baskets,” former Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Garnett said during a recent podcast appearance. “Playing with Chris Paul, he’s going to make easier baskets. Expect San Antonio to be more organized.”
To echo Garnett’s words, Paul will play a mentoring role in San Antonio, but will also work to organize the offense as a whole. With Stephon Castle in the mix, he figures to be one of the young team’s best assets in many ways. And if “the Big Ticket” is right, that could translate into major developments.
