Domantas Sabonis has a kind request for the media: stop talking about his unbeaten streak against Anthony Davis.

“I don’t pay attention to it. The more you pay attention to it, the more it makes my life harder. If anything, it would light a fire under him, so stop mentioning anything, please,” Sabonis joked Wednesday after the Sacramento. Kings win 120-107 against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Sabonis is 10-0 in his career against Davis. The Kings big man had 17 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists in a brilliant overall performance. Davis finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, but made only seven of his 18 field goal attempts.

As for the team aspect, the Kings’ 4-0 mark against the Lakers could have huge playoff implications. Sacramento is three games ahead of the Lakers for the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, which keeps the Kings out of the Play-In tournament for now.

If the Lakers were able to split these games, they would be on the verge of clinching the coveted sixth spot and avoiding the sixth spot.

Instead, the Lakers are floundering in the No. 9 seed as Davis continues to wonder why he can’t find a way to beat Sabonis head-to-head.
