Jalen Brunson has officially been listed as questionable by the Knicks for a second straight game due to his left knee bruise, but he appears to be trending toward returning after sitting out. Tuesday’s loss against the Hawks.
Brunson, who was injured during the first minute of Sunday’s game at Clevelandparticipated in “most of the practices” Thursday at the team’s Tarrytown facility, according to coach Tom Thibodeau.
He added: “We will see where he is [Friday]”, when asked if the All-Star point guard would be able to play in a key playoff positioning game against the Magic at the Garden.

“He looked consistent, he looked good,” teammate Josh Hart said of Brunson. “Training consists of a lot of starts and stops, so it’s sometimes difficult to judge, but [he] He looked good, looked confident and not like he was limping, dragging his leg or nervous about making moves. So this is obviously a positive point.
“With him, I hope [Friday] he will wake up ready for filming — [with] not much pain – and hopefully I’ll be good to go.
Brunson, who entered Thursday tied for seventh in the NBA with 27.2 points per game, also missed a game last week with cervical spasms in his neck.
Miles McBride played almost 94 of 96 total minutes in Brunson’s absence over the past two games.
Julius Randle (shoulder), OG Anunoby (elbow) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) remain out.
