Most seven-year-olds would be terrified at the thought of throwing their first pitch in front of a large crowd at a sporting event. Los Angeles Dodgers game. Hell, most adults would be too.
So maybe Bianka Bella Bryant, daughter of Vanessa Bryant and her late husband Kobe Bryant, was nervous about such a huge honor, but she never let it show. With the confidence reminiscent of her father, she threw a perfect throw to Dodgers star outfielder Mookie Betts, who then punched Bianka before her mother gave her a comforting hug. Then, little sister Capri Kobe Bryant, 5, announced, “It’s Dodgers baseball time,” before giving Vanessa an excited greeting. It was a great day for the Bryants, as fans were eager to celebrate Kobe Bryant Jersey Day, and the Los Angeles Dodgers donated $100,000 to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.

It was an eventful and emotional weekend for the Bryants, along with their older sister Natalia Diamante Byrant, 21, as they celebrated the birthday of Los Angeles Lakers legend, the late Kobe Bryant, where Vanessa posted a sweet message and a throwback photoon August 23 before supporting the second annual Mamba League Invitational tournament.
As Natalia becomes a successful model while finishing her studies at USC, it will be exciting to see how Bianka and Capri grow up before our eyes. With the confidence shown in the first pitch, perhaps Bianka will follow in her father’s footsteps.
