Tyrese Haliburton revealed the Pacers’ plan to play Mavericks stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
THE Dallas Mavericks are ready to welcome the Indiana Pacers Tuesday evening. Pacers Star Tyrese Haliburton prepares to lead his team against a Mavericks team that features two of the best players in the NBA in Luka Doncic And Kyrie Irving. Haliburton explained what happens in the preparation playing against Doncic and Irving before Tuesday’s game.
“Two of the best one-on-one players in the world. You have to understand, Luka has an average of about 35, I don’t know what Kyrie’s average is but they’re going to have theirs,” Haliburton said of the Mavs’ star duo. “It’s just about making it as difficult as possible because these are two of the most elite basketball players in the world.”
Both the Mavericks and Pacers are talented teams. They have, however, faced ups and downs in their recent stock prices. Haliburton also addressed the Pacers-Mavericks matchup while speaking to reporters.
“It’s going to be a good game, they’re a great team,” Haliburton said of the Mavericks. “We’re both really struggling at the moment. It will be interesting to see how it goes tonight.
The Mavs obviously hope to bounce back on Tuesday. They are just 1-4 in their last five games. That being said, it is clear that Luka and Kyrie are one of the best duos in the league.
Mavericks: Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have all the attention of the NBA

Teams must always prepare to contain Dallas’ superstars. It’s not uncommon to see Luka or Kyrie receive double teams.
Doncic is a Legitimate 2023-24 MVP candidate. He is currently averaging 34.5 points per game on 49.6 percent field goals and 38 percent shooting from three-point range. Doncic also recorded 8.9 rebounds and 9.7 assists per outing.
Irving’s performance cannot be overlooked, however. The veteran guard is averaging 25.7 points per game on 49.2 percent field goals and 42.2 percent shooting from three-point range. Kyrie also averages 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
Haliburton and the Pacers understand that containing Irving and Doncic won’t be easy. Mavs head coach Jason Kidd, meanwhile, is prepare the Pacers plan attack and also tries to find a way to limit Haliburton and Myles Turner.
“Offensively, they’re among the best,” Kidd said of the Pacers after Monday’s practice. “Haliburton is playing at a high level, (Myles) Turner is playing well. Once again, the transition defense will be put to the test. Our defense will be put to the test.
“And then offensively, we have to prepare for Rick (Carlisle) to team up with (Kyrie Irving) and Luka (Doncic). And other guys can step up and make shots.
The stars will shine in Dallas on Tuesday, and we’re not talking about hockey. Instead, it will be Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner preparing to lead their teams.
