THE Dallas Mavericks (35-28) are on the road for a Saturday night game against the Detroit Pistons (10-52). The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest and will start at a rather unusual time for Mavericks fans, namely 6:00 p.m. CST. This game is a bit of a must-win for the Mavericks, they’re still hoping to escape the game race, as a loss to one of the worst teams in the NBA would be a huge setback. Dallas had an off day after a convincing win against a very good Miami Heat team and hopefully they can follow that up with a strong performance against Detroit. Let’s get to the key elements:

  • WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs. Detroit Pistons
  • WHAT: Dallas seeks its second consecutive victory
  • OR: Little Caesars Arena, Michigan
  • WHEN: 6:00 p.m. CST
  • HOW: Bally Sports South West

Luka Dončić is listed as questionable on the injury report. Derek Lively will also miss the match for what is listed as personal reasons. The Detroit Pistons are missing Quinton Grimes.

Honestly guys, it’s amazing that I’m starting this thread about this game. I forgot I was supposed to do this because I tend to forget around the second half of the season, and I forgot it was the start of the match. I’m currently dictating this into my phone like a very, very old person using text chat because I’m holding my baby in my other hand and wanted to do this before the game started.

The Mavericks must win this game. That’s all I’m going to say. Join us after the game for the recap that is being written by Josh so you know it will be smart and the stats will be out. Thanks for staying here. We always appreciate when people comment on the Go Mavs game thread.
