Not long ago, Kevin Durant seemed like a young LeBron’s NBA player. Today, he has reached the age where he can become your favorite player’s favorite player. That player for Grizzlies fans is none other than Jaren Jackson Jr.
During an episode of The Old Man and The Three podcast, Jaren Jackson revealed that Kevin Durant was actually his favorite player growing up.
“KD’s been doing this for a long time,” Jackson said. “He was my favorite player growing up. So just to see all that, it’s crazy.”
There are times when Kevin Durant becomes virtually unstoppable on the court. Times when the combination of his talent and size would destroy any defense in front of him, and Jackson remembers one of those moments.
“I think I saw KD go 13/14, all his shots missed his first shot in the fourth round, I wasn’t playing,” Jackson said. “I had nothing to do with those shots. They were all shots. He doesn’t really do that, that basket thing is boring to him, he’s just trying to have fun.”
“It was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve seen some really good ones.”

Kevin Durant is now 35 years old and will likely no longer be in the league by the end of the decade. Despite all the hate fans have given him, it’s time to start appreciating the greatness of players like Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and LeBron James.
