“It might look a little different, but we have some young players that we hope will continue to improve. Bam Adebayo and I are young players that are starting to become full-fledged veterans in this league. Terry Rozier is now healthy and ready to compete. So you have Jimmy Butlerwho is particularly motivated after not being able to participate in the playoffs last season.”

After reaching the NBA Finals in 2022-23, the Miami Heat qualified for the playoffs only through the play-in, and they were ultimately eliminated by the Boston Celtics in five games in the first round.

“We have a really good group of players,” Riley said. “The main thing is player availability and getting our players healthy to play every night. We have to embrace that notion. When I talk to Micky (Arison) and Nick (Arison) (the Heat owners), they understand that.”
