In only his second season in Sacramento, Mike Brown continues to etch his name in the franchise history books.

With that of Monday evening 108-96 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers, Brown got his second straight record above .500 with the Kings. In his first year with the organization, Brown led the Kings to a top-three finish in the Western Conference, going 48-34, the team’s first title in the Pacific Division since 2003 and a first appearance in the playoffs in 17 years.

Rick Adelman spent eight seasons with the Kings, posting a record above .500 every year he coached. Brown and Adelman are the only two coaches in the Sacramento era with winning records.

The 12 coaches between Brown and Adelman have no combined winning records.

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

Sacramento will enter a crucial two-game stretch – both against the Dallas Mavericks at Golden 1 Center – that begins Tuesday night in front of a national audience on TNT.

The Kings are 2-0 against Dallas this season, with both wins coming on the road. Tuesday’s game will have playoff implications as Sacramento enters play tied with the Mavs for seventh place in the Western Conference standings.
