Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown is known for his eclectic interests off the court, and his latest venture is a foray into the world of music.
The 2024 NBA Finals MVP teamed up with hip-hop artist A$AP Ferg for his new single “Just Do It,” and unveiled the music video Thursday night after previously teasing it:
Brown then posted a clip from an old interview with A$AP Ferg in which he was asked which NBA player he would like to feature on a song with him. The hip-hop artist was quick to respond, saying that Brown is “very serious.”
Additionally, Brown posted on X that he’s “having a great summer” despite not being on the U.S. Olympic roster:
Of course, “Just Do It” has long been Nike’s slogan, so it seems Brown is using his single to send a message.
Following the announcement that Brown’s Celtics teammate Derrick White would be taking Kawhi Leonard’s vacated roster spot on Team USA for the Paris Olympics, Brown called out Nike in a tweet, saying the shoe brand influenced the decision:

@nike is this what we do?
After helping the Boston Celtics win their 18th NBA title, the 27-year-old has taken some time to enjoy himself this summer. He was recently on vacation in Bahrain, where he showed off his underwater workouts.
All signs point to Brown being primed for an even bigger year with the Celtics in 2024-25. The upcoming release of his new single is a sign that he’s ready to reveal new sides of himself to the world, both on and off the court.
