Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is still considered by many to be the greatest player in NBA history. Some argue that Jordan played against inferior competition compared to the current era, but that is an idea that many basketball historians vehemently oppose.

With top-tier competition in every era, Jordan played against many of the all-time greats. Winning six championships and the Finals MVP award (twice three times in a row), Jordan and the Bulls dominated the 1990s.

Talk with Florsheim Alley According to the Wall Street Journal, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards made a statement about the Jordan era that many consider disrespectful to the greatest players of all time who played during that era.

“I didn’t watch it at the time, so I can’t speak to it,” he said. “They say it was harder then than it is now, but I don’t think anyone had that talent back then. [Michael Jordan] “I was the only one who really had talent, you know what I mean?”

Many immediately criticized Edwards for starting his statement by saying he hadn’t watched it and therefore couldn’t talk about it, but then continuing to talk about it.

One NBA legend who criticized Edwards is Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas:

Thomas won back-to-back NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history, Thomas certainly had talent, something Edwards’ statement dismisses.
