After the Golden State Warriors failed to sign Paul George or Lauri Markkanen, one of the biggest questions for NBA fans was whether Steph Curry would stay with the team. Will he be willing to play on a non-title contender for the rest of his career, or will he take a step toward another ring?

NBA champion and legend Paul Pierce believes Steph Curry isn’t going anywhere.

During an episode of Ticket & The Truth, Paul Pierce gave his candid thoughts on Steph Curry’s future with the Golden State Warriors.

“He’s going down with this ship. He’s a legacy, everything that’s going on for him right now is icing on the cake,” Pierce said. “I saw Kobe, he lost his last two years but he still gave it his all, right? He wasn’t complaining. That’s Steph, he brought that to Golden State.”

If Steph Curry were a player like LeBron James or Kevin Durant, it would be hard to see him sticking with the Warriors as the team struggles to compete. However, Steph is the last of a dying breed, and one of the only players to consistently stick with his team like Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki have.

If Steph leaves the Warriors, many will understand his move. However, if Steph stays with the Warriors, it will only add a little more to his legacy as the most loyal player in modern basketball.
