We caught up with the Minnesota Timberwolves center on Rodeo Drive just days after the league handed out a 6-figure penalty for his actions and post-game comments…and even though the dude made over 217 MILLION dollars during his career. , even he had to admit that it is a huge financial success.
“How do I feel about the fine? I mean, it’s a fine. It’s a lot of money,” Gobert said… before explaining his actions.
“At the end of the day, we human beings. We’re not always right, but everyone is allowed to express what they think. Plus, it’s a game with a lot of emotions, so sometimes we react out of frustration.”
Gobert – who is averaging 13.7 points and 12.9 rebounds per game this season – received the maximum fine a player can receive for conduct or statements detrimental to the team or the league… but Charles Barkley thinks he should have been suspended for this.
“It would ruin a sport if people thought it was fixed,” the ex-NBA star said on “NBA on TNT.”
Despite the fine and criticism, Gobert has some surprising things to look forward to: her new baby …and he revealed the sex of the child to us!!
