There’s always something magical in the air when the LA Clippers take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether both teams are good, bad, or somewhere in between, fans will always have an added level of excitement.

Now that the Clippers have signed rookie Max Christie, the rivalry between the two teams has deepened even more: Max’s brother, Cam, plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. It’s an opportunity Max is incredibly excited to be a part of.

In an interview with Tomer Azarly of Clutchpoints, Max Christie has revealed his thoughts on playing against his brother Cam and the LA Clippers.

“I think I mean the [Lakers-Clippers] the rivalry is still there, Max Christie told Azarly“But I think overall it’ll be cool to play him in those kind of games. It’ll be cool to watch him from afar, even go see some games. It’s really cool to see him here.”

Despite the bad blood between the Lakers and Clippers, Cam Christie is looking forward to the friendly rivalry between him and his brother. It will be a unique moment for both brothers.

“I think it’s going to be super fun, obviously,” Cam Christie added. “When we get on the field together for the first time, I think it’s going to be a real experience for me, for him, our parents, really for everybody that’s been a part of our process. I think it’s going to be super cool. So I’m really excited to see how it goes.”

Both Christie brothers are very good three-point shooters. Hopefully they can both have long NBA careers in Los Angeles.
