On the team’s performance tonight:
“I thought we did a great job of setting the tone early in the game. BI (Brandon Ingram) was incredible. His performance – he set the tone on both ends of the floor, and it was just fun to watch. It was fun to see him play with this strength, this rhythm, this confidence that he had on the field and all his teammates rallied behind him. He was incredible, he set the tone and collectively it was a great bounce back game for us from game one to game two. Good rebounds and a good turnaround so we can go home, rest a little and get this win.
On the first loss to the Pacers and coming home to win:
“We have competition in this team and we know we haven’t got off to a good start. The guys were a little tired and we wanted to go home, get a little rest, and we knew when we could chase them, and that’s what they did tonight. A major credit to all our guys in the locker room. I said it in the locker room, I will say it here, I really have to congratulate Jonas (Valančiūnas). His professionalism throughout the season was incredible – he only played seven minutes in the first game, because we were trying to get back into the game, we had to use a smaller, quicker lineup to try to come back. tonight, and he’s ready to go. He has been one of the pillars of our team, he shows up every day, works hard and it is truly a pleasure to have the opportunity to see his development and coach him.

On Trey Murphy III’s recent meltdown:
“His confidence level wavered. While he was in there, he kept shooting, he kept getting to the basket. He just didn’t get the results. Finally, it’s happening, and the work was shown tonight.
In the aisle-oop for himself:
“It was an instinct. I saw Myles [Turner] intensify. I knew he wouldn’t be able to get back in front of me and I’ve seen this play many times – watching the highlights and the biggest in the league, so it worked for me tonight. Tonight was fun.”
