Two familiar faces will be on hand to guide former New York Knicks star Dick Barnett into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame announces list of presenters for the Oct. 13 ceremony that will lead his Class of 2024 to on-court immortality. Barnett will be introduced by fellow Knicks alumni Bill Bradley and Earl “The Pearl Monroe,” who punched their tickets to Springfield in 1983 and 1990, respectively.

Barnett, 87, is finally getting his Hall of Fame induction after decades of waiting and campaigning with other Manhattan alumni. Along with Bradley and Monroe, Barnett was part of the Knicks’ last championship in 1973, their last full NBA season. Barnett and Bradley also helped the team win its first NBA Finals three years earlier.

Barnett played nine seasons (1965-73) with the Knicks after arriving in 1965 in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. He continues to this day to rank in the Knicks’ top 10 all-time in games made (604), field goals (3,742) and points (9,442). Barnett, also known for his collegiate work as an All-American at Tennessee State, made his only All-Star appearance with the Knicks in 1968 and his No. 12 was retired by the team in 1990.

Other metropolitan representatives on the list of presenters include Bob McAdoo, Tracy McGrady and former New York Liberty player and head coach Katie Smith. McGrady and Smith will present Vince Carter and Michelle Timms, respectively, while McAdoo will have the honors for Walter Davis and Jerry West (who will be inducted for the third time for his leadership role).

Knicks player Chauncey Billups is also in attendance and will be introduced by former New York head coach Larry Brown as well as WNBA legend Tina Thompson and Ben Wallace. Billups, Brown and Wallace all worked together on the Detroit Pistons’ last NBA title in 2004.
