New York Knicks‘ Before OG Anunoby I missed Monday 119-112 win against Warriors of the Golden State due to a flare-up from a previous injury, and it is unclear when he will return.

In December, Anunoby joined the Knicks team via a trade from Toronto Raptors. However, on February 8, he had to undergo a procedure to remove a free particle from his right elbow. Due to the surgery, he was unable to play the entire month of February while he recovered.

Anunoby made a comeback for three games, but unfortunately the recent elbow injury the push puts him on the sidelines once again.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has briefed the media on Anunoby’s current status. Thibodeau revealed that Anunoby underwent an MRI on his elbow, which came back clear.

However, his return timetable is uncertain, and it is unlikely he will be willing to travel with the Knicks to face the Denver Nuggets March 21th.

OG Anunoby’s stay in New York

Toronto Raptors trade guard OG Anunoby Malachi Flynnand forward Precious Achiuwa to the New York Knicks in exchange for a guard/forward RJ Barrettguard Emmanuel Quickleyand a 2024 second-round pick, as USA Today Sports reports.

The Knicks were 15-2 with OG Anunoby in the lineup since December and without him the Knicks are 10-10 while he recovers from an injury.

Anunoby is average 35 minutes and 14.5 points per game so far this season with the Knicks.
