Nikola Jokic is definitely in a giving mood this summer.
EuroHoops reports this week Denver Nuggets star Jokic splashed out on lavish gifts for his Serbian teammates after their bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. He reportedly bought Rolex watches worth $32,500 each for each of his 11 teammates. That adds up to a total of $357,500 spent by Jokic.
Serbia won its third Olympic medal in men’s basketball, taking bronze with a 93-83 victory over Germany in the third-place game this summer. Jokic enjoyed life after his victory and even went viral during some of his great antics celebrating the Olympic medal.
Three-time NBA MVP Jokic is entering the second year of a five-year, $276 million supermax contract with the Nuggets, so $357,500 is a drop in the bucket for him. But it’s still pretty cool to see Jokic taking care of his Serbian teammates, including one who could well join him in Denver.
