World No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic posted a video of himself on Instagram hitting a 3-pointer at the Crypto.com Arena and quickly removed the LeBron James” celebration, paying homage to the the Los Angeles Lakers Super star.

Djokovic, whose former world number 1 Jim Courier considers the GOAT (best ever), stopped for the Lakers-Warriors of the Golden State match on March 16.

The Lakers lost that game 128-121, but not after James scored 40 points while trying to carry his team on his back. Anthony Davis‘ exited late in the first quarter due to an eye injury.

The Serbian tennis star met James before the match and gave him a signed tennis racket.

“Amazing to witness greatness on and off the field. King ???? Lebron and Steph’s performance was exceptional last night. So impressive to see them still going strong at their age. Good luck to these two superstars and all-time greats ????????????”, Djokovic wrote on Instagram. “Thank you @lakers for your kind hospitality a few weeks ago and last night ????????”

Djokovic also handed the Warriors superstar Stephen Curry a signed tennis racket after the match.

In return, Curry gave the tennis star his autographed jersey worn during the match.

“That’s awesome,” Djokovic was heard saying when Curry made the gesture.

Djokovic’s presence comes after another tennis legend, his former rival, Roger Federer visited Curry and the Warriors on March 9.

Unfortunately for Federer, Curry did not play and the Warriors lost 126-113 to the San Antonio Spurs on their home court.

The 76ers floated threats to sign LeBron James

Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus look at him Philadelphia 76ers as a team that could lure James out of Los Angeles if they draft his son Bronny James during the NBA draft in June.

“What if the Sixers used their first or second round pick in June to draft Bronny James? If his father, LeBron James (No. 1 on our big free agent board), opted out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia might have just enough to max him out at around $50 million.

“That would give the Sixers an additional $7 million in space, plus the mid-level room exception of about $8 million to flesh out a roster with Paul Reed, Embiid, Maxey and the father-son duo of James.”

Bronny James’ plans to enter the NBA draft this season remain unknown as he is having a lackluster freshman season at USC.

Anthony Davis questionable against Hawks

Davis remains officially listed as questionable against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, March 18, morning after the Warriors rookie Tracey Jackson-DavisThe elbow inadvertently hit his eye late in the first quarter.

But Davis’ condition has improved, according to a ESPN Report.

A source close to Davis’ injury told ESPN that the Lakers big man began to feel improvement Saturday night and continued to improve on Sunday.

The Lakers classified Davis’ eye injury as a left corneal abrasion.

“[Davis] I was not able to see with this left eye, the vision was blurry. Lakers coach Darvin Ham told reporters after the Lakers lost when the All-Star big man played just 11 minutes and 57 seconds, all in the first quarter.
