Neither Charlotte nor Memphis are close to that number. The Hornets play 16th fastest, while the Grizzlies are 26th with an average of just 94.4 possessions per game.
Scoring the basketball has been a struggle for these two teams, this will be a matchup between the 29th and 30th ranked offenses in efficiency this season. Memphis is averaging just 107 points scored per 100 possessions, while the Hornets have a measly 108.4 points. The Grizzlies have failed to cross the 100 point mark in 2 straight games, while the Hornets have done so twice in their last 4. Don’t expect many fireworks on offense in this one, I’ll take the underside.

Miles Bridges might be the only reliable scoring option on both rosters in this game. He is averaging 20.3 points per game in his last 10 outings. The good thing about this gamble is that his minutes remained consistent, despite the Hornets tanking for the rest of the season. He’s played over 39 minutes in 8 of those 10 games, if that happens again tonight he’ll definitely have enough shot attempts to cash in here. Bridges will be a free agent this summer, so there’s no better way to impress potential suitors than to score a ton of points. The last time he played against Memphis, he finished with 25 on an efficient 11-of-13 from the field. Hopefully he can repeat that tonight.

Brandon Miller on 4.5 rebounds (-136)
When two teams are struggling to put the ball in the basket, it’s natural to assume that a high-rebound game is on the way. Memphis is one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, allowing 53.9 per game, which is the 3rd highest mark in the entire league. This is music to the ears of Brandon Miller who is averaging 5.2 per game over his last 10 outings. He crossed that line in 6 straight games, while against Memphis he finished with 6 rebounds in the first meeting of the season. Miller likely won’t be in the running for Rookie of the Year, that will be decided between Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren. However, if he continues to post solid numbers like this, he will definitely have a case to finish right behind those two guys.
