The Spurs are among the most sought-after teams next season, but a ticket on the secondary market will be expensive.

SAN ANTONIO — Excitement for the start of the 2024-25 San Antonio Spurs season is at an all-time high.

With Victor Wembanyama entering his sophomore season and the debuts of Chris Paul, rookie Stephon Castle and Harrison Barnes, the upcoming season will be filled with games that fans will want to attend.

However, fans will have to dig deep into their pockets if they want to purchase tickets on the secondary market.

According to Live seatsThe Spurs saw the largest increase in average ticket prices compared to last season, when they increased 151% after the NBA schedule was released. The average ticket price for a Spurs game increased from $102 to $256.

Vivid Seats’ Spurs ticket page increased by 689% the night the NBA schedule was released, highlighting the high interest in Spurs tickets.

Tickets for the Spurs’ home opener against Houston on Oct. 26 are $7,642 for a courtside ticket in the first row and $2,481 for a ticket in Level 22, row nine.

There are, however, cheaper tickets available to cheer on the Spurs in their season opener at the Frost Bank Center.

For a balcony seat, the lowest cost is $45 and can go up to $53.

It should be noted that these are secondary market prices. These prices come from ticket resellers. They will fluctuate as the season approaches and will likely decrease as games get closer to kickoff.

Overall, it’s further evidence of the ‘Wemby effect’. Fans want to see what he’ll do in their venue or at the Frost Bank Centre. He’s a big draw, and these prices are a testament to that.

Other teams seeing big increases in regular season ticket prices (average sale price) include the Memphis Grizzlies (+131%), Atlanta Hawks (+124%), Cleveland Cavaliers (+115%) and Portland Trail Blazers (+114%).
