The Pacers announced Monday that they have signed former Purdue men’s basketball guard Dakota Mathias to an Exhibit 10 contract.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFFT) – The Indiana Pacers have announced a series of roster moves that will see the team’s G-League affiliate, the Mad Ants, feature some former in-state stars.

The Pacers announced Monday that they have signed former Purdue men’s basketball guard Dakota Mathias to an Exhibit 10 contract.

The Pacers also announced that Cameron McGriff and Kyle Mangus were being released after both signed their own Exhibit 10 contracts last week.

McGriff is a former Oklahoma State Cowboy who played part of last season with the Mad Ants.

Mangus graduated from Warsaw High School in northeast Indiana before attending Indiana Wesleyan University. Mangus also played the 2023-24 season with the Mad Ants.

Being excluded doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the duo’s relationship.

Exhibit 10 contracts can turn into NBA contracts, but they are also often used as a way to retain G-League players.

Mathias, McGriff and Mangus are likely to end up suiting up for Noblesville’s team when the season begins.
