Tyrese Haliburton’s dog joins Team USA in celebrating its fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal in men’s basketball.

The official Instagram account for Haliburton’s goldendoodle, Ames, shared a photoshoot featuring the Indiana Pacers guard and his Olympic gold medal.

One of the photos shows Ames, draped in an American flag, wearing the medal himself.

Haliburton adopted the dog during his first NBA season in 2020-21.

Four years later, Haliburton was named to the 2024 USA Men’s National Basketball Team to represent his country at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Haliburton played in three of Team USA’s six games at the Olympics. He joked on X about his limited participation in the tournament after the Americans won gold against Team France.

This may not be Haliburton’s only chance to bring a medal back to Ames. After two straight All-Star seasons in Indiana, Haliburton could make a bigger impact for Team USA at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
